Ok so I have tried all the versions of p4v/Merge available (2012/2014) and I can reproduce this consistently on OSX 10.9.2 and now 10.9.3. It make resolving/merging on the Mac pretty much impossible. I will select a file to resolve, up comes p4Merge, I will then go do the merging. Save the merged file, close p4Merge and most of the time. I lose all my edits too! Looks like there is a problem with launchP4merge as p4Merge is shutting down: Process: launchp4merge [2295] Path: /Applications/p4merge.app/Contents/Resources/launchp4merge Identifier: launchp4merge Version:??? Ok well I'm not getting very far with this workaround.

First of all I now see ugly looking paths pointing to places in my /tmp folder for the files involved in the merge. It's harder to see what's going on. Then when I save and quit the p4Merge app. P4v just sits there with it's buttons greyed out. When i try to close the resolve dialog, it says I must close the merge app. Then I notice, it is still in the dock. So it didn't shut down cleanly.

All I can do now is force-quit that thing. Now back up in p4v the buttons are back but it doesn't seem to know I just resolved the file.

It doesn't seem as connected doing it this way. This is a fresh install of OSX on a brand new Mac Pro. Nothing weird going on here. What's the ETA for getting the tools working properly on Mavericks?
